Tools and Materials
Included in Box:
- Showerhead with Filter
- Plumbing Tape
Recommended:
- Adjustable Wrench
Step 1: Remove the Old Showerhead
Grip the shower pipe firmly with one hand and remove the old showerhead by twisting counterclockwise. If it’s stuck, you may need a wrench.
Step 2: Check and Clean the Pipe
Inspect the shower pipe for damage and clean any residue from the threads.
Step 3: Apply Plumbing Tape
Wrap the plumbing tape (included) clockwise around the pipe threads twice in overlapping circles and pull to tear off.
Step 4: Install the New Showerhead
Check that the Filtered Showerhead is tightly sealed. Holding the shower pipe with one hand, align the threads of the new Filtered Showerhead and screw it clockwise, tightening until snug.
Step 5: Activate Filter and Enjoy!
Run hot water through the showerhead for 2-3 minutes; the water may appear dark at first as the filtration media activates. This is harmless and normal and can be drained or used to water plants. Once the water runs clear, step in and enjoy.
