Are Hydroviv water filters compatible with homes that have water softeners, and do filters need to be replaced more frequently in such cases?Updated 23 days ago

Our water filtration systems are compatible with both softened and unsoftened water. However, our filters do not remove the salt generated by some types of water softeners. 

The average lifespan for our sink cartridges is about 6 months, depending on your average water usage, and is designed to handle up to 720 gallons of water, following NSF Standard 53 protocols. 

Shower filter cartridges typically last about 6 months, but their lifespan can vary based on the chlorine levels in your water. 

For refrigerator filters, the average lifespan is about 6 to 9 months. A slow down in flow rate is a good indicator that it’s time to replace your filter, although we recommend replacing it at least once every 12 months for optimal performance.
