Why should I choose a customized filter?Updated 4 hours ago

Most drinking water filters are one-size-fits-all. As a result, they fall remarkably short of providing adequate protection. Why? Because their active media target an approximation of what's in your water—AKA a guess. So, if you experience unusually high levels of a certain contaminant (as most people in the U.S. do), your filter won't be able to keep up.

Our drinking water filters are different. They're built for your water, which means they address the specific contaminants of concern in your area. There are several benefits to this kind of customization:

Better performance: Hydroviv drinking water filters are built with a customized blend of active media that address the real, identified contaminants in your water. For example, if your city relies on old lead pipes to transfer water, we'll bulk up your lead protection. Or if you live near an active or abandoned mine, we'll strengthen your protection against arsenic. This provides better filtration for your and your family against the contaminants and chemicals of most concern.

More bang for your buck: When you buy a generic filter, you pay the same price (or more) for less effective filtration. A proportion of your investment will go to waste on irrelevant active media targeting non-present contaminants. Meanwhile, the contaminants of most concern will go unaddressed.

Less waste: Because we target the actual contaminants in your water, we don't waste materials on irrelevant active media.
